Many changes in the wind this week. In celebration of the new Sol Ut Press web site, you can get a free eBook copy of two of my books Basic Music Theory: How to Read, Write, and Understand Written Music and Sound the Trumpet: How to Blow Your Own Horn. Also, the Sound the Trumpet Podcast is now live! You can hear me read the whole book, which includes the book’s sound clips which are available for free at the Sol Ut web site. My thoughts on- and approach to teaching the trumpet have changed in the last 5 years (a PhD will do that to you, I guess) and my current approach is reflected in the podcast. Don’t worry. It’s still friendly and academic jargon is not allowed. 😉
