I literally laughed out loud at the tuba comment about their life being defined by the size of their cars.
I play guitar and electric bass but am mostly requested as a bass player. It’s kind of nice to not have a big load out as a bass player. So, when I’m out and about, I like to pick on guitarists by putting my bass gig bag over my shoulder, picking up my Markbass amp (300 watts, 36 lbs), and, as they’re packing up 20 pedals and a 100 lb tube amp, saying, “Yeah, this is why I like playing bass.” while walking out carrying my equipment in one load. It’s snarky, but it’s kinda fun, too, I admit. 😀

haha, yeah, I feel that too, with my horn. You better not start with an upright bass, or you won’t be able to kid your bandmates any more…. 🙂
